Yoga & Sound Healing
Learn the foundations of breath, movement, alignment, and awareness — to build a safe, sustainable, and deeply personal yoga practice.
About the practice
Many people start yoga in classes where they feel confused, intimidated, or even get injured. Instead of rushing into complex poses, we build your practice gradually — helping you understand how to move safely and confidently in your own body. This isn't about achieving the perfect pose. It's about learning how to work with your own body, safely, compassionately, and with curiosity — so you can build a practice that is truly yours, sustainable, and deeply supportive of everyday life.
Perhaps you recognise yourself here
- You've wanted to start yoga but felt intimidated by classes
- You've been told you're "too tight" or "not flexible enough"
- You experience recurring stiffness, aches, or tension that isn't resolving through passive treatments alone
- You want guidance, structure, and a practice that meets you where you are
what you will learn
Building your foundation
Mobility & Joint Care
Develop mobility in the shoulders, hips, and spine to support healthy movement, strength, stability, and ease in daily life.
Alignment & Technique
Understand what to do, why it matters, and how to practise in a way that supports long-term progress without fear of injury or being pushed beyond your body's capacity.
Foundational Yoga Postures
Learn the fundamental asanas step by step, building confidence, understanding, and body awareness.
Breath & Body Awareness
Learn how to use the breath to support focus and relaxation, while cultivating greater body awareness, curiosity, and compassion in your practice.
meeting your edge
On Yin Yoga
I also teach Yin Yoga — a slower, deeply receptive practice of long-held postures that isn't about hitting a stretch, but about meeting yourself at your edge. Yin works with the mind, body, and emotions together, offering a powerful way to sit with what's there, soften your resistance, and truly meet yourself in stillness.
another way back into the body
On Sound Healing
Sound healing is another way back into the body — the vibration of the bowls and instruments giving your nervous system something simple to follow, so thinking can finally quiet down and feeling can take over. I hold sound healing sessions as part of ongoing practice, and can also bring it into workplace wellness sessions and special gatherings as a group experience.
