A Sacred Dip, A Stranger, On Receiving & Giving

I’m sitting by the edge of the point where two rivers meet & begin the sacred Ganga’s journey towards the seas.

I’m getting ready to dip myself into her powerful, swirling, frigid waters, tightening my grip on the steel metal chain anchored to the shore.

A man appears beside me, more like a voice in my ear. I’m not sure where he’s come from and why he’s speaking to me. But he’s guiding me.

He asks me to take the first dip and let go of my past, future, present, and release everything I’m holding onto, allowing the river to cleanse me.

I take the dip.

The second dip he tells me to invite and pull in all the energy of the river, of Nature and to open myself up to receiving the abundance of Universe and all its blessings.

I take the second dip.

In the third dip he tells me something so powerful, something I am not expecting. He tells me to return all the energy, abundance and blessings to the river, to send everything I’ve ever received with her to take on her journey and share with all of life.

He tells me to become the source of the abundance, to become the blessing.

So I take the last dip.

And in this dip, there ceases to be the river and me.

We become one.

Almost 6 months have passed since. But tonight, I cannot help but ask, how would I live my life if I rest in this truth, in each moment?
